Mapleline Farm Home Delivery Service was started by the fifth generation of Kokoskis in Hadley, Massachusetts (USA).

It began way back in 1904, when great-great grandfather Stanley Kokoski and his family, purchased the farm, after finding an ad placed for its sale, in the local newspaper. The farm, at that time, consisted of various vegetables and a small herd of cows. The milk was brought by horse and wagon to the local train station in Cushman to be delivered to the dairy. Stanley Kokoski ran the farm with his two sons, Henry Sr. and Thomas.

Henry Sr. eventually took over the reins of the farm, and then the farm began concentrating on crops such as tobacco, onions, and potatoes. The cows were sold, but this proved to be a temporary situation.

As the next generation of Kokoskis began to take over, cows returned to the farm. It was time for Henry Jr. to run the farm. Over the next twenty-five years, the family ran the dairy and cultivated vegetables. However, in time the farm once again switched back to vegetables only. The cows were sold in the mid-70's but farming was not abandoned.

As history usually repeats itself, the Kokoski family was not done passing the family farm down, and that meant cows were coming back with the next generation. John Kokoski took over the reins from his dad, Henry Jr., in 1986. The dairy portion of the farm was growing at Mapleline along with field crops. Hay and corn were prevalent on the picturesque acreage around the farm.

John's love for the farm and the Jersey cow was evident when he decided to take dairy farming to the next level. He began bottling his own milk into glass bottles and selling it from a tiny store off the front of the barn in 1995. The customers loved the idea of local farm fresh milk in glass bottles; it became evident that John and his family needed more space.

In 2000, the present farm store was built, and in 2001 the next generation of Kokoskis returned to the farm to find their own niche. John's son, Paul, decided to take a step back in time and begin delivering glass bottled milk to the customer's doorstep.

As the farm spans five generations in the Pioneer Valley, history really does repeat itself, and it is certain that the Kokoski family loves farming!
